If you are like me and love to spoil your pooch, you’ll appreciate the Digging Dog Shampoo Bar for it’s gentle, sulfate-free formula, made with Neem oil, which is known to repel insects and help irritated skin. Cocoa butter for additional coat conditioning and colloidal oatmeal, which is a moisturizing skin protectant, also recommended for soothing irritated skin. This bar is pH formulated for dogs; between 6-7.
If you’re new to shampoo bars, it’s much different than a bar of soap. You’ll be amazed at how quickly the lather builds in your hands once you run it under water. Then apply that lather to your dog’s coat as you would with a liquid shampoo.

How to use: Wet dog’s coat, wet and rub bar in your hands to build lather and apply to dog’s coat. Rinse and repeat, if necessary.

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil in soap has many benefits for the skin, including cleansing, moisturizing, and providing antibacterial and antimicrobial properties.
Olive Oil
Olive oil makes a hard, long lasting soap with a gentle cleansing lather, suitable for all skin types including sensitive skins. High in Oleic acid, a soap made with olive oil will help to condition and soften your skin.
Shea Butter
Shea butter is obtained from the fruit of the karite tree, containing several important nutrients, including vitamins A and E and essential fatty acids which nourish and protect the skin. Shea butter is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to soothe irritated skin. One of the best things about shea butter is that it is suitable for all skin types.
Cocoa Butter
Cocoa butter is high in fatty acids, which is why it’s often touted for its ability to hydrate and nourish the skin and improve elasticity. The fat in cocoa butter forms a protective barrier over skin to hold in moisture.
Hemp Seed Oil
Hemp oil, especially hemp seed oil, is rich in unsaturated fats such as linoleic acid, γ-linolenic acid, and α-linolenic acid.
These three fatty acids may help improve skin structure by helping the skin retain moisture. They also have a beneficial effect on dry, rough skin and can influence the fluidity of cell membranes and transport of electrolytes.
Castor Oil
Castor Oil contains high level of ricinoleic acid, and this offers excellent skin-soothing benefits helping to create a protective skin barrier. It is the ricinoleic acid that makes this oil stand apart, with 80 to 90% of the entire fatty acid profile being comprised of unsaturated Omega-9. However it also contains oleic, stearic and linoleic acids too.

After owning a dog that hates baths for over 10 years, this product has made doggy bath time much more smooth! Our dogs coat is wiry and naturally water repellant making it hard to spread liquid soap and even worse to rinse out. With the bar soap, I was able to wash the dog in a fraction of the time and I think the dog smells better than the brand we were using before. 10/10 will buy this product every time.
